Description
100% Chardonnay from the mid-slope Les Aigrots premier cru vineyard just outside Beaune. The cru’s name comes from the Greek “agria” or wild plant. It is believed that the plot was originally covered with thick thorny vines before it was planted to grapes. The rich loamy soils that ‘Les Aigrots’ is known for leads to both rich and mineral driven white wines, with a certain austerity about them. This is a perfect pairing for grilled prawns and boiled potatoes, or a nice hunk of Comté.
