This is supreme in its expression of that which is Chambertin| offering power without weight yet an intensity and pungency of flavors that must be experienced to be believed. This wine has improved like a rocket since it was released and while there are still mildly firm finishing tannins| this has is now approaching the front end of its peak drinkability. Only a handful of Burgundies ever show this level of quality and this has to be one of the top five wines of the vintage. Reference standard Chambertin that will drink well for years| perhaps even decades| to come. Be sure to give this at least 30 minutes of air. Multiple| and consistent| notes.
