1990 Coche Dury Meursaults Les Perrieres – Burghound – Tasted October 1, 2001: One of the all time great Coche Perrires and even better than the incredible 89, though at this rarified level of quality, one is merely splitting hairs. Crystalline in its purity with softly fragrant, beautifully rendered fruit followed by flavors that ooze minerality. The acidity has receded into the background over the past two years but it is still up to the task of providing near perfect balance, especially on the extraordinarily long finish. Poetry in a glass. This is just beginning to drink well but should hold for many years to come.
