Winemaker’s Background:
Tenuta Le Calcinaie is a small but highly regarded estate located just 3 km from San Gimignano. Founded by Simone Santini, a dedicated and passionate winemaker, the estate has been organically certified since 1995 and now covers 12 hectares with an average production of 70,000 bottles annually. The soils, composed of marine limestone layered with clay and sand, bring structure and minerality to the wines, making them distinctive expressions of place. Santini has spent his career nurturing his vines and wines, building a legacy rooted in authenticity and respect for nature.
