Complicating aromas of bergamot, tarragon, and mace are quick to emerge from the bright cherry notes that characterize the first impression of this wine’s nose. On the palate, a mouthcoating, moody earthiness combines with these delicate, high-toned aromatics to give the wine structure and sinew. A persistent streak of acidity guides a notably pliant and generous finish. This wine is accessible on release, but will improve markedly over the next four or five years.
