Description

The noticeable oak influence this displayed just after it was bottled is still present (though by no means dominant) as it frames the ripe and still dense earthy black cherry fruit aromas that are in keeping with the equallyl ripe and relatively elegant though quite powerful big-bodied flavors that culminate in a mouth coating finish that is seriously persistent. This is a massive but not top-heavy wine that is deceptively well-balanced as the substantial size does not impede the overall sense of harmony. A beautiful effort.
